Bupivacaine-induced Convulsions During General Anesthesia

Abstract

A case is reported where injection of 75 mg of bupivacaine by epidural catheter resulted in generalized convulsions during general anesthesia. This was due to intravenous injection, and radiographs demonstrating both epidural and intravenous placement of solution are shown.
