Effective Management of Frostbite with Sympathetic Blockade

Abstract

Sympathetic interruption is probably the most effective therapy for frostbite injuries. While surgical sympathectomy has been widely used, local anesthetic blockade has been neglected as a useful alternative. The purpose of this report is to emphasize the value of sympathetic blockade for the treatment of frostbite.
