The Importance of Examination Prior to Nerve Block Procedures

Abstract

A case history, in which a patient referred for a course of stellate blocks was found to have a Pancoast tumor with possible brain metastases, illustrates the importance of a complete history and physical examination prior to performing any diagnostic or therapeutic nerve blocks.
