Spinal Cord Ischemia: A Complication of Celiac Plexus Block

Abstract

A case is described of motor weakness of the lower extremities following a celiac plexus block. Neurologic findings indicated localized spinal cord infarct. The cause of the complication and the blood supply of the spinal cord are discussed.
