A Case Report of a Potentially Fatal Complication Associated with Ischia's Transaortic Method of Celiac Plexus Block

Abstract

A case is described of severe diarrhea following a transaortic neurolytic celiac plexus block. A brief review of incidence and severity of this complication associated with the newer methods of celiac plexus block is presented, and the possible cause of diarrhea in this patient is discussed.
